Civil Services Academy Library
The Civil Services Academy (CSA) Library, located at the Walton Campus in Lahore, is a vital academic and intellectual hub supporting the professional training of Pakistan’s future civil servants. As an integral part of one of the country's oldest public sector training institutions, the library plays a central role in the academic enrichment and research development of probationary officers undergoing the Common Training Program (CTP).
With a curated collection of over 35,000 books spanning public administration, law, international relations, economics, history, political science, and contemporary affairs, the CSA Library is committed to promoting a culture of inquiry, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. The library also provides access to a range of periodicals, research journals, and digital resources to support rigorous academic exploration.
The CSA Library is more than just a repository of books—it is a dynamic space that fosters dialogue, discovery, and disciplined research. It offers a quiet, well-maintained study environment and operates extended hours, seven days a week, to accommodate the demanding schedules of the probationers.
In addition to supporting general learning, the library plays a crucial role in facilitating Syndicate Research, a core graded component of the CTP. Through on-campus resources and partnerships with esteemed research institutions in Lahore, the CSA Library ensures that probationary officers receive hands-on exposure to research methodologies and policy analysis.
The Audio Visual library on the second floor offers a repository of videos covering extension lectures, panel discussions, and syndicate presentations of past CTPs, which allow probationary officers to understand policy perspectives and diverse viewpoints and help them better grasp today's challenges.
